Who are Googles doodle contest winners
Doodle for Google, an art contest aimed at artists in grades K-12, made its return for its 15th installment, announcing “I am grateful for…” as this year’s theme.
Recommended VideosStarted in 2008, the annual event, which takes place in other countries, invites students from all over to create their own Google Doodle for an opportunity not only to have their work featured on Google.com for 24 hours, but also to earn scholarships between $5,000 to $30,000, tech packages and hardware worth over $50,000, and tons of fun Google swag gear for respective schools.
This year’s judges include student and Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp, bestselling author and illustrator Brian Selznick, 2022 National Teacher of the Year recipient Kurt Russell (an education star, not the movie star), and Doodle team leader Jessica Yu.
Entry for the 2023 contest is currently closed. Judges will soon have to deliberate and select the 54 best Doodles before the public can vote on their favorite online. Voters will be asked to select their favorite Doodles, one from each grade group. The winner of this year’s competition will be announced later this summer, but you can get acquainted with the past winners below.
