Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta is a Kenyan politician, businessman, and is the incumbent and the fourth President of the Republic of Kenya.Uhuru is the son of Jomo Kenyatta, Kenya’s founding father and the first president of the republic of Kenya.Uhuru attended St Mary’s School in Nairobi,after St. Mary’s school, Uhuru went on to study economics, political science and government at Amherst College in the United States.Upon his graduation, Uhuru returned to Kenya, and started a company Wilham Kenya Limited, through which he sourced and exported agricultural produce.

Uhuru Kenyatta’s first move into mainstream politics was to contest for the Gatundu South parliamentary seat in 1997 but lost awfully during the general elections. Although he lost that particular elections,he was nominated to parliament in 2001, and subsequently appointed to the cabinet as Minister for Local Government. His outstanding performance as a Minister for Local Government, he was nominated by the KANU party as their presidential candidate but lost once again to Mwai Kibaki. When he lost again, he was made Deputy Prime Minister and Minister For Finance in his share of Cabinet slots in a power sharing agreement after the 2007 and 2008 political unrest in Kenya.Finally,in 2013, Uhuru Kenyatta was elected as the 4th and current president of Kenya under The National Alliance (TNA), which was part of the Jubilee Alliance with his running mate William Ruto’s United Republican Party (URP).
Uhuru is worth a fortune of $650 million. He is renowned as one of the most affluent persons in Kenya and as one of the richest presidents in Africa.
