In the studio where it happens! The annual Live with Kelly Halloween episode aired on Monday, October 31, and just in case you had any doubt, longtime host Kelly Ripa rose up to the challenge of having the best pop culture references yet. Check out her best costumes from this year’s special in the video above!
Ripa, 46, with her current guest cohost, Jerry O’Connell, by her side, opened the special dressed as Alexander Hamilton, complete with a mustard overcoat, a ruffled necktie and riding boots. Honoring the hit musical, the daytime soap alum even broke out into song with backup dancers!
Of course, there’s never just one costume for Ripa and company. With the 2016 presidential election just days away, Ripa brought back her unique (and very tanned) take on Donald Trump for a round of “First Family Feud” against O’Connell as Hillary Clinton and Ripa’s best friend Andy Cohen “hosting” the game show.
Live teased the political costumes beforehand via Instagram by sharing a video that showed Ripa getting her Trump wig in place and O’Connell imitating the former secretary of state. “Such a good friend,” he said while shaking Cohen’s hand, looking near laughter. “Such a good supporter.”

Keeping the pop culture hits rolling, Ripa also rocked Beyoncé‘s yellow Lemonade dress for a “Hold Up” moment. (O’Connell, naturally, was her wind machine man.) The mom of three then modeled a black hoodie and hollowed-out cheeks to play Mr. Robot’s hacker extraordinaire Elliot, and she slipped into Margot Robbie‘s Harley Quinn getup from Suicide Squad.
